Appointment details - requirements to enable a successful visit
Please ensure your horse is clean and dry for the appointment. This is not me being fussy - it is almost impossible to give an effective massage to a horse who is wet or dirty and my equipment - laser and Physiopod - may not be used on a wet coat.
Shelter - a stable or field shelter - will be necessary if it is raining or during mid-summer sunshine.

Riding after a massage session
If you plan on riding your horse on the day of my visit, it is usually best to do so before the massage.
Avoid riding immediately after massage as the horse's muscles may be in a vulnerable condition immediately afterwards. I usually advise gentle work the day following massage but this is dependent on findings on the day. In the case of pre-competition massage this does not apply as the massage will be tailored to needs.

Turn out is always a good idea after massage unless your horse is on box rest due to injury.

"The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire."  ~Sharon Ralls Lemon
